About This Blog

I started this blog shortly after my 30th birthday, when my health took a sudden and unexpected turn for the worse.

It is a chronicle of my sometimes-serious, often hilarious, but mostly ridiculous adventures on the road back to wellness.

To start this journey from the very beginning, click on my

BOOKS:

Hormone Balance - A Woman's Guide to Restoring Health and Vitality, Carolyn Dean, M.D., N.D.:

This is, by far, the best book on women's health I have ever read. It's my bible; I'm constantly referring back to it. It is written for the every day average woman.

In it, she covers everything related to hormone balance, which is every aspect of your body and lifestyle (adrenals, pituitary, hypothalamus, intestines, liver, spleen, cleanses, toxins, chemical build up, bad foods, etc.). I can't say enough good things about it. Not a day goes by when I don't wish that Carolyn Dean was my doctor.

Hormones, Health and Happiness - A Natural Medical Formula for Rediscovering Youth with Bioidentical Hormones, Steven F. Hotze, MD:

Don't let the title fool you. Even if you aren't planning on taking bio-identical hormones, this book is chock-full of info about hormones and your thyroid - applicable to women of all ages.

What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Premenopause, John R. Lee, MD:

Considered the "godfather" of hormone research, this book is just one of many very informative and inspiring books by
John Lee.
